Living in Fitzrovia
What’s the point of a frozen grape you ask! Well, you’ll never discover how good the eating sensation is until you’ve tried it at least once. Then I can guarantee, you’ll pick up the habit!
The same can be said about living in central London. By central I don’t mean “zone 1” on a TFL tube map. No, I mean right bang in the middle, Monopoly Board addresses! There’s so much to take from a West End lifestyle.
How about my favourite idea, of living in Fitzrovia. It’s a fresh young neighbourhood just north of Soho. It’s a 50:50 mix of offices and residences. This means the local economy has enough demand to allow it to incubate some fantastic restaurants and outstanding coffee shops, alongside a brilliant selection of bars and hotels. There’s Carousel on Charlotte Street, alongside Norma, the Charlotte Street Hotel and the Mandrake just around the corner. Over on Great Titchfield Street there’s Meraki, Riding House Café and Mortimer House. I won’t go on but important to note that the independent coffee shops still out number the bland chains. This is good as it ensures you get the hit that you deserve. Yes go to Kaffeine, Yes go to Alex Coffee. But, there’s also Kiss The Hippo, Scandi Kitchen, Kafi and tons more.
People we meet want to buy and rent apartments in Fitzrovia because they want this lifestyle. It’s convenient. They don’t need a car and hardly use an Oyster card. Most people start out renting in Fitzrovia for a year but then the addiction kicks in. They’ve tasted that frozen grape and there’s no going back! Extend the lease. Drink more coffee. Eat. Walk. Decide to stay. Buy in Fitzrovia. The circle is continuous, and frankly who can blame them (or you!)
